Janet has been busy working on the material of her performance piece I Love You.
After receiving a grant from Accessible Arts, combined with donations from her I Love You fundraiser at The Red Rattler in March and some support from PYT, Janet hosted a two day script development workshop at the Fairfield School of Arts.

Janet Diane has been developing her biographical show I Love You since 2009. Her story is one of determination and courage. At 15 years she was admitted to hospital suffering a brain haemorrhage which left her with speech dysphasia and physically weak on her right side. She had to learn how to walk, talk and basically start all over again. Janet wishes to share her story and inspire other people who experience life with a disability to pursue their dreams. Janet will work with a professional writer to further develop her performance piece. A videographer will capture the process along with interviews to form a promotional tool to attract support towards a full production of I Love You. The promotional video will be released for International Day for People with a Disability in December 2011.
